Photography is an adventure. It provides moments captured through a lens that friends and family can look back on and smile. These moments are a time of remembrance for all of us. They are a constant reminder of who we are and what our story is about. My hope as a photographer is to provide images that are real, creative, genuine, and evoke a passionate feeling inside those who view them for years to come.
All of my sessions cater to those who are viewed through the lens. The location of the shoot should be reflective of the interest and lifestyle of the participants. The closer the experience is to who they are- the more that people are inclined to feel that the images truly depict them. I aim to mirror their life and the essence of their being through the photographs that are taken. I love to dream up creative sessions and craft beautiful imagery that encapsulates the individual nature of all I photograph.
I am a lover of people. It is truly a blessing to be able to meet people from all walks in life. Often as a photographer, my job is to reveal things unnoticed or not fully seen. I especially find it an honor to aid others in a journey into the deep recesses of their own soul. To see themselves as they truly are. Many photographers choose to impose their personal style on the subject, thus causing the subject to have the appearance that they are out of their element. I enjoy getting to know people and combine their personality with a style that they are comfortable with. This is what makes my photographic style distinctive from other photographers. My attention to lighting, hair, location, outfit, contrast, and several other factors will be the difference that creates my uniquely genuine images that makes the participant uniquely them. People find it easy to be comfortable with me. Encouragement is necessary for everyone to become the person they truly are. My style leans toward the belief that everyone is photogenic given the right motivation. This is where my overexcitement and giddiness, usually causing clumsiness and laughter, come in handy!
I am a photographer dedicated to the ideals of bonds that exist between people and exposing the beauty that can only be found within an individual. I am uninterested in the superficial self or creating anything unreal. The authentic footprint is the best gift a person can leave behind in this world. One of my best gifts to this world is the honesty of that authentic footprint.
